It was an honor to meet filmmaker and Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Mstyslav Chernov, creator of “20 Days in Mariupol,” a brutal and eye-opening documentary that follows a team of AP reporters trapped in the besieged Ukrainian city of Mariupol.
It documents the atrocities of the russian invasion and captures the stark reality of the Ukrainian conflict, bringing real-time urgency to the ongoing crisis.
His film won the BAFTA award and won the Oscar for Best Documentary Feature.
